Accessibility
Statement

SH3 Digital is committed to making its website, learning resources, and digital services more accessible and usable for people with disabilities. Accessibility is an ongoing practice—not a one-time checkbox.

This statement applies to the public SH3 Digital website and the digital content directly controlled by SH3 Digital. Separate third-party platforms may have their own accessibility features and limitations.

Last updated: July 13, 2026

01

Our commitment

SH3 Digital is committed to treating people with disabilities in a way that respects dignity, independence, integration, and equal opportunity. We aim to identify, prevent, and remove barriers in our digital services wherever reasonably possible.

We also welcome accommodation requests related to course information, downloadable resources, communications, workshops, consulting services, and other materials we directly provide.

02

Our accessibility target

SH3 Digital is working toward alignment with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA as a best-practice target and considers applicable requirements under Ontario's accessibility laws.

This statement does not claim that every page, file, feature, or third-party service has been independently audited or fully certified as conforming to WCAG 2.2 Level AA.
03

Accessibility practices

As the website and Academy grow, we aim to include the following practices in design, content, and maintenance:

Clear page structure

Logical headings, readable sections, descriptive labels, and consistent navigation.

Keyboard access

Interactive elements designed to be reached and used without a mouse where possible.

Visible focus

Clear focus indicators to help keyboard users understand their location on a page.

Readable presentation

Legible type, strong colour contrast, responsive layouts, and support for browser zoom.

Text alternatives

Meaningful alternative text for informative images where appropriate.

Understandable links

Link wording intended to make the destination or action clear from context.

Accessible media

Captions, transcripts, or comparable alternatives for important media where feasible.

Ongoing review

Regular improvements as new content, products, courses, and technologies are introduced.

04

Alternative formats and communication support

You may request information or communication in an alternative format. Depending on the material and the request, this may include:

  • a plain-text or simplified version;
  • a larger-print version;
  • an accessible digital document;
  • a transcript or written summary of important audio or video content;
  • assistance understanding or locating website information; or
  • another reasonable communication method discussed with you.

We will work with the requester to determine a suitable format or communication support, taking into account the person's needs and the nature of the content.

05

Known and possible limitations

Despite ongoing efforts, some content may not yet meet every accessibility need. Possible limitations may include:

  • older PDF, Word, Excel, or downloadable learning files;
  • complex forms, tables, charts, dashboards, or interactive tools;
  • embedded videos that do not yet include complete captions or transcripts;
  • legacy images or graphics that require improved text alternatives;
  • course-platform, checkout, scheduling, or payment features supplied by third parties; and
  • content provided by outside speakers, partners, or service providers.

If you encounter a barrier, contact us. We will review the issue and, where reasonably possible, provide an accessible alternative or work toward a correction.

06

Third-party websites and services

SH3 Digital may link to or use third-party platforms for course delivery, payment processing, email, video, scheduling, forms, analytics, or other services. We do not control every aspect of those platforms and cannot guarantee their full accessibility.

We encourage our service providers to support accessible use and will consider accessibility when selecting or reviewing important platforms. Accessibility concerns involving a third-party service may also need to be reported directly to that provider.

07

Accessibility feedback and support

We welcome feedback about accessibility barriers, accommodation requests, or ways to improve the experience. When contacting us, it may help to identify the page, file, course, feature, or service involved. Sharing details about assistive technology is optional.

We will review accessibility feedback and respond as soon as reasonably possible. Responses and requested information can be provided in an accessible format or with communication support, where needed and reasonably available.
